I have always enjoyed reading biographies of great men and even infamous individuals. Below are some thoughts I have enjoyed pondering on through the years.
1. “To ruminate upon our sorrows is but to increase them; to turn them over, and over,
and over again, is but to express from them the bitterest drops which they contain.
The more the turbid pool is stirred, the blacker will it become.”
Charles Spurgeon
2.Faith has nothing to do with feelings or with impressions, with improbabilities or with outward experiences. If we desire to couple such things with faith, then we are no longer resting on the Word of God, because faith needs nothing of the kind. Faith rests on the naked Word of God. When we take Him at His Word, the heart is at peace.
